Got the boat wet this weekend, I promised a guy at work and his five year old son a trip. The little guy wanted to go to Holiday, so off we went. We launched around 10:30, and fished until about 1:30.
We started in the center canal, a couple of miles short of the Miami canal. Spent about an hour there, then moved into the Miami canal, about 1/2 mile south of the center canal. Spent a hour there and then moved to the mouth of Marsh access 2. No fish were harmed in the making of this guide trip. Even the shiners were unmolested. Holiday is packed with boats and scarce on fish in the canals, probably not news to you guys.
But..... It was a beautiful day, the boat ran great, and the yahoos (there were lots of them) didn't bother me as much as usual.
I'll be at Walk-in-Water in a couple of weeks, hopefully I'm saving the mojo for then.
