The South Florida Bass Kings (SFBK) had a tournament on Loxahatchee yesterday. We waited a year for this permit and for Jeff LaDroux it was worth the wait. He brought in an impressive 25lbs+ bag to take first place. 2nd and 3rd place were 10lbs and 9lbs respectfully. Most fish were caught using top water lures and swim baits, targeting eel grass and hydrilla mix.

If you're a boater and looking for a friendly laid back type of club check us out at http://www.sfbk.net or come to our meetings on the 3rd Thursday of the month at Bass Pro Shops in Fort Lauderdale. Non-boater are also welcome, but please contact our President first to see if we are accepting applications.

John..I sure hope its not open to tournaments on a regular basis.
Can you imagine getting to Lox at 6:30AM and trying to find a spot to park your rig.
As the post stated.they waited a year for the permit..just maybe the government is doing something right.

No, they only let you get enough permits for a club tournament and you can only get 1 permit every 3-4yrs and they only give a few a year

SFBK waited about a year for the permit, and
the fee was $150.00. When we made our request
the fee was 75.00. Two weeks before the
tournament we received an invoice for 150.
Great place to fish, but they don't give
many tournament permits.
