BASS BUSTERS SILVER DIVISION held on Saturday March 15, 2008 had 29 Teams Participating. There were 27 – 5 five Limits caught. Lake Okeechobee is HOT HOT HOT. First place on the day went to the team of Brandon McMillan and Ron Veale with a total weight of 28.56 lbs. They also weighed in the 2nd Place Big Bass at 7.77 pounds. They fished humps and cuts in the rim ditch and used a variety of baits from Plastic 10” worms to Rattle traps. Great Job Guys. Second Place went to the team of Meister and Teeters of Naples with a total weight of 20.57 pounds. First Place BIG BASS went to the team of Terry (beth) and Skip Simmonds with an 8.07 pound hawg. Third Place went to the team of Allen Walls and Andy Matusevich with a total weight of 20.50 lbs. Fourth Place went to the team of Petitpas and Hatfield with a total weight of 19.98 lbs. Fifth Place went to the team of Val Osinski and Kevin Meunier with a total weight of 19.75 pounds.
BASS BUSTERS GOLD DIVISION held on Sunday March 16, 2008 had 27 teams participating. There were 23 – 5 fish limits weighed in. LAKE OKEECHOBEE is SMOKIN’. First place went to Jimmy and Brandon McMillan with a total weight of 26.51 pounds. Second Place went to Val Osinski and Kevin Meunier with a total weight of 25.63 pounds and the First Place BIG BASS weighing in at 8.72 lbs. Third Place went to the team of Tony Bennett and Allen Walls with a total weight tipping the scales at 21.81 pounds. Fourth Place went to Malcolm Etherton and Boyd Nutting with a total weight of 21.64 pounds. Fifth Place went to the team of John Bechtold and Todd Schuelter with a total weight of 21.57 pounds. Last but not least WB and HB Chambliss weighed in the Second Place BIG BASS at 8.70 pounds.
Congratulations to all our anglers. The lake is producing great opportunities for everyone fishing and we hope everyone plans to be at the tournaments next month. PLEASE MAKE A NOTE that the official dates for APRIL’s tournament are Silver Division April 19th and Gold Division April 20th. The new brochure stated April 13 for Gold Division and that is INCORRECT it will be APRIL 20th.
