HT3 is now looking for Summer Slam Team Series directors. With lakes like Istokpoga, Okeechobee, Tarpon, Harris, and Rousseau already having committed directors, HT3 is looking to give anglers in any part of the state and throughout the southeast a chance to compete in fun, fellowship filled events that will end in a championship at Kissimmee's Camp Mack where anglers and audience alike make for Headturning events.
If you would like to direct just 4 single day events between May - Sept in the 2008 season please tell us just a little about yourself and the lake that you wish to direct HT3 events at. HT3 takes care of supplying all equipment and pays it's directors on a per boat basis. We appreciate the 8 directors who have already committed to be a part of this grass roots, southeastern tour and look forward to having more quality people participate.
Attached is a sample flyer that we'll provide to help you begin building your division (after application approval), the director needs to focus on building their division to just 10, 15 or 20 boats per event, this will give us a huge championship with over 200 boats qualified to compete. Should just 10 or 15 teams qualify and compete from each of 10 to 15 divisions it will trigger a multi boat giveaway at the championship.
Being a director is a great way to build your resume as you will be in contact with sponsors that are supporting the tour and will give them an avenue by which to get to know you as a professional angler and your passion for the sport of bass fishing. As a national tournament trail with divisions in Alabama, Kentucky, Georgia and wherever else quality people want to join a quality organization to put on quality events, HT3 will continue to attract the attention of top sponsors like Triton Boats, Evinrude Outboards and others.
To be a part of building a national team tournament trail and join a team of great anglers and people, please fill out the info below and email it back to HT3 for review. Please note, all applications are subject to review and approval/denial by HT3 officials.
what would be the per boat take for the director and would he get free entry at camp mack ? and would the director have to pay the $80 membership fee ? Mum wants to know before i apply.
No 80.00 memberships... and I'll let you guys in on a little secret not all know. The 2008 80.00 membership for HT3's pro tour is going to be turned into a 2 year membership for those that make at compete at the classic.
There is a lot of spiffs for directors, fish your division for free, receive 10.00 per angler for every angler above 20 that fish, so if you build your division to 40 boats you would compete for free and receive 200.00 for that day.
Also, $300 cash at end of year for having the most members in one division and other incentives. Classic entry incentives for directors, etc.
There is a director for Holiday Park and he is now setting dates and times, etc. for the 4 events down there. Memberships are only 20.00 per man on this series and if you are a current HT3 paid member in any of the pro tours there is no membership fee for summer slam series.
Lake Osborne/Ida would be the next area of interest to add to the lakes already with directors. With just 10 - 15 teams from each of these divisions and with no additional divisions coming on board (which won't happen)this would qualify 130 teams for the classic Nov 15, which would qualify for the first place prize of a free boat/motor/package giveaway.
