How much is the entry fee?
Is there a membership fee?
What group is doing this tourny? |

David , Can I make a suggestion that may help stop some of the replies you get ? You have most of the information already on you post but if you would start out with HT3 presents Sunwest Summer Slam Series that would stop the question of "What trail or group is responsible"
When you put you date and time , you could also include the cost of new membership and the entry fee. Hopefully that eliminate some of the repeat questions and comments. All the information would be there and anglers could decide if the want to fish or not And MAYBE it would stop some of the negitive junk before it gets started. I dont fish your trail but thats my choice. I am commited to too many others as it is. I just hate to see all the junk that gets started each time you post. It's a shame. Just a suggestion. I know you guys have a way of doing things but it may help a little. |

A great idea FM26 !
I think when Dave O. sees this, he'll agree.
It's especially unfortunate that the post with the questions above...has asked those very same questions in past threads for the HT3 Sunwest Summer Slam Series...in the very same order... only to come back with something negative given the first opportunity.
Thanks for the tip! |

DD, I understand the fact that you feel the need to defend yourself, but your just adding fuel to the fire. Whether you are right, wrong or indifferent, people are just waiting for you to respond to they can keep the BS going. In my opinion, for what it's worth, is hurting the turnout for HT3 in the 'Glades. It certainly can't be helping any. I've been looking at this site for over two years and it's been constantly the same nonsense. The only difference is, currently the bullseye is on your back. Last year, someone was the target. Next year someone else will be targeted for character assassination. You're the one really in control of this right now.

He's right d.d. if you would just stop posting on this site it would be alot better. Dave, I also have a suggestion. Why dont you pick up your phone and tell d.d. to stop answering for you. He's just ruining any chance for you to get your trail off the ground. If he didn't know about this site, your sign ups would, I'm sure be double. He is the reason my partner and I dont fish ht3. |

D.D. (no login) 205.188.116.210 | Re: I Agree whole heartedly | August 14 2008, 4:26 PM |
Before I "go"...tell us all (me mostly) who you are and HOW I am the reason you don't fish with HT3 and / or the Summer Slam Series.
If I'm gonna play the game and pretend I don't care what is said on this site regarding HT3, then I should know what it is that I've done to keep you and your partner from HT3.
The vast majority don't know me from Adam. Before I go...prove me wrong...please!
The reverse psychology just might work if you answer my "parting" questions.
...Deal? |

D.D. I not sure what to think here. You defend your tour with such emotionon this site when ever a question is raised but you don't put the name on the advertisements. Why is this? Do you think people will not realize that its an HT3 tourny and then just go ahead and join anyway? Also why not post results here? I understand about traffic on your site but how about quick result here and people can go to your site for more detailed results. Also D.D.when was the last time you fished a local tourny in the glades? Thanks in advance for your response. |

...the Bert and Ernie thing...it's almost believable.
...for "Confused"...I don't defend "my" tour. It's not my tour. And I don't think I defend with tremendous emotion. I tend to think it's more of a "counter measure" to what's launched by some on this site. Trust me Confused. I'm doing this now more so because of what those few are saying about me at this point. None of you "know" me. So the jumping on mentality, while I can live with or without it, is somewhat angering. Thus, my demeanor at times.
Confused...there is absolutely a "name" on the Sunwest Summer Slam Series, and they pay to have it there. Sunwest Harbortown is one of our major sponsors. There is no need to have HT3 on their title just as the Yoo Hoo I drink every morning of every tourney I fish doesn't say "Cadbury Schweppes" Yoo Hoo. It is billed simply as Yoo Hoo and The Sunwest Summer Slam Series is really no different.
The concern that folks might shy away from "HT3" never crossed our minds. It's not a secret. Besides, we already are aware that there is a strong contingent at the Park unwilling to fish anything not-local. HT3 was made aware of that through other tour's officials. The notion that we or other non-local tours are getting rich off of the tournaments we schedule there is another one of those non-truths that I address when it's thrown out there.
If you understand about traffic on the HT3 site, then you understand why we don't post results here. I can see why you might like to see the here but we're pretty proud of our site and the timeliness results are posted. Folks like yourself should become aware of the site and just how fast stories on events are posted. If your are unbiased at this point...you will be pleasantly surprised at what a refreshing change HT3's site is compared to other sites with the same formats. But only if you have no predeterminations.
2007 was the last time I fished an event at the Park. I do fish Big O quite often. And mostly out of Clewiston. I've lived in S.W. Florida since 1980. I moved here from Alaska. But let's understand one important fact. Holiday Park has been in jeopardy for some time. I sent e-mails recently (at the request of some folks on this site) to YOUR local congressmen in the name of myself and HT3 regarding some changes (closures) of area ramps and night time closure of the Park. It all helps. I don't do it in hopes that folks will like me or HT3. As I said before, none of you know me. I don't thrive on being liked. I do however, have boys that like to fish. And the canal system in South Florida is a destination location in my eyes. I want it to remain open too. It is comical how some of the folks in that area think that the system is theirs and theirs alone.
Thanks for the questions and the manner in which you asked...

I have to admit, DD, that was a good post! I couldn't find an ounce of hostility, and I read it three times. As long as I'm throwing out compliments, I do have to say that the HT3 site is one of the best I've seen. |

Its really simple, if you want to fish the ht3 trails then do so, if you dont, then dont.If it doesnt float your boat, then thats fine, let people make there own choices. The true holiday park fisherman that have been fishing there for years, also fish the lake just as much, and, are not the ones that are running there mouths, about ht3.The ones that are running there mouths, just got there boats a couple of years ago and think they own the place. If they were all that, they wouldnt have a problem with a new trail, they would just enter and win.sounds easy, whats the problem? Guess they are afraid of a little competetion, or maybe they are just tired of donating there money.Look for me selling crying towels at the ramp, im going to be RICH.......... |
