Does anybody know of a person or a number that I can call about why a boat ramp that is not open. I am talking about the first boat ramp on Krome Avenue coming off of 27 toward Tamiami. This canal is over ten miles long and loaded with fish. In years past there was a game and fish guy that would open the gate every morning, and the last time I drove by there back in April it didn't look like anyone had used that ramp in a long while. If no one knows anyone can someone just please get me the key. I would like to go fishing. Thanks

The last I heard on this was there was some cars submerged at the ramp so they locked it up.

The ramp further south closer to 41 has been closed for quite some time as well. I heard that not only because of the dumped cars but they were also having people using the ramps as a dumping ground for everything. There was also a big problem with theft and vandlism of the people who did use those ramps. Its a shame because yes, it is some good fishing grounds and it didnt matter if the water level was up or down.

So let me see if I understand this, FWC or State agency closed a boat ramp because of cars that were submerged? Rather than hauling the cars out of the water they just shut it down. What a freaking joke.

It is also a shame that there are so many low lifes here in South Florida where a man can't even go fishing without fearing someone will vandalize his truck in the parking life. Just pisses me off.

They pulled the cars out on a regular basis and got tired of it and closed the ramps. Ya, it pisses us all off. Good ole So. FL
