| Had a tournament at Holey Lands on Saterday. Fishing was really tough. 1st place had 6lbs, and big fish weas 2 1/2 lbs. No wind all morning and no current at the spillways. Fish were caught on giggy heads, rapala's and some were caught in the east/west canal late on toads. Did have a bright spot. A fellow fisherman was pre fishing on Friday and caught one in the lake around 10lbs. on a worm. also saw around 50 hunters in the STA. Does anyone know if you are able to drive on the levy on the north side of the lakes. Would like to take my john boat down to some of those canals way out in the middle of nowhere. |

When I went there last weekend I noticed the gate was open to access that road. I wondered the same thing as just north of the west lake looks to have some canal systems with a few open areas. Is that private land there? They always open one of the gates in the west lake to let some of that water into the lake. At least they have the 2 times I have been there. Oh and I hope that guy who caught that 10lber released that fish. That would suck if he kept it. |

Were the guy's in the red tracker allowed to weigh in? I heard they were on pretty solid ground when they caught some of their fish if you know what I mean. |

The guys in the red tracker were DQ and the money was returned and giving to the people who won. And the 10 lber was released back in the lake after a picture. | |
