fished the flats with my friend terry mccartha only instead of his new ranger , we fished out of the tracker fished the flats and caught several fish up to 7lbs and then went on a bed search in the center canal no beds but caught 100 fish on senkos . Very nice and fun day.

what flats ent. did you go in ?

Me and Al went to Holiday Friday and entered the #3 flats and caught NADA. Didn't even see a fish, a bed, or anything resembling fish. We felt lucky we saw a couple minnows swimming by.

you went in the wrong one and dont know what to look for . try again

Keith you need to go down to cut 7 thats were the big dogs go and get the good fish

I was with Al in his boat and have never been to any of the flats. So thanks for the heads up about #7. When I get a flag pole and flag I will give that a shot.

Keith In the flats throw surface baits like horny toads or floating worms ect. throw to the pad feilds but don't forget to throw ont the trail in front of you. Also in the canal (L67) throw a spook along the edges.

Thanks for the suggestion. It is good to know that that is exactly what Al and I threw in #3. Horny Toads and I tried 2 colors of floating worms also. We tossed them into the pad fields and ahead of us in the trails. I guess we were just in the wrong place on the wrong day.
