Chris, all I can tell you is the south end of the lake has a lot of clean water, I struggled a little out there this past weekend and everyone I ran into was the same. Our club had a two day tournament out of Clewiston and with 12 of us fishing on saturday 1 fish was caught and on sunday about 10 fish were caught. I landed a 4.35lb fish with a Delong 16" black snake the tournament was won using a trick worm red bug I believe, he had the only fish on sat. and a 7lb even on sunday and a 2.75. It was tough fishing though it should be better now that the temp has come up. The watere temp was 52 on sat 55 on sun. Definately fish the south end anywhere from South Bay to Long Point and Pelican Bay. |

I went up to the lake tuesday and did okay. I went to the monkey box and caught 7 fish on speed worms and 10 inch worms. All i can tell you is cover water intill you find them and then slow down. Fish the thicker grass and dont give up. |

I was up at the lake today and just spanked them hard in the inside canal of ritta throwing cotton candy brush hawgs in the thick cover along the bank. My five best fish would have been around 22 -24 lbs. Good Luck |
