The water levels on the Alley right now are pretty low. I have heard of some lower units being damaged in areas that were normally safe to operate. My local club just fished the Holey Lands last weekend and some of the guys had success on the extreme northwest canal (near the end) and the east canal, near the bridge. I went down the southwest canal and caught a lot of fish, but mine were all small. Others found 3 and 4+ pounders there. Good luck. |

Our club had a tourney out at Sawgrass this weekend. You can catch all the 10 inchers you want out there. There are a few 3 and 4 lbrs. mixed in, but you have to weed through the small ones to get the bigger bites. If you want to catch a lot of fish, that's the place to go now. Check out the east canal. Through a fluke or a small crankbait and you can catch almost every species in the everglades in one day. Good luck and good fishing! | |
