Hello again , just letting everyone know we are very aware of the event this weekend using more unlicensed guides, again breaking the law again, well we are watching taking vidieo and other things so it wont be long this will end for sure .... we will not stop untill this will end not going away


Roland Martin's Service Center. I don't know how other people are treated at this business, but I do know how I've been treated. I took my boat in for repairs, miner things that needed to be done. I was quoted an estimate of $240.00 to $280.00 for everything. I agreed to those repairs and made sure of the estimated price for the job. When they called me to let me know the repairs were finished, they also let me know the price. It was $570.00 some odd dollars. What kind of business is he running over there? Then (like an idiot) I decided to park my boat inside the storage area to try to sale it. Again to my amazement, it had been subject to abuse to the port side of the boat and in the back. Body damage. This is totally uncalled for. I am outraged! I just wonder how many other people have had these problems with this business.

Well this could be fun lol. lookes like things are catching up with them I know a few people that had some problems their but never did say anything they just never went back and I will say it is wrong if they are useing guides to work on trips that are not legal I can understand his point . will be fun to see whear this ends up.

I have no clue about there service department but I do know that Raymond and the hotel side of things and they have been great to me and the Anglers who lodged with them and it has always been a fun time at a good rate.once again I can only speak from that side of the business. Blm

I've bought a boat there. Had it serviced there. And have stayed at the hotel more times than I can remember and have never had an issue. I would recommend them!

The mechanic at Rolands has been ther forever, he started at Angler's Marine when he was a kid. Always treated me well. Staying at the motel, we are treated well there also. I guess you can find fault at amy marina, as you can't please everyone all the time.

True some people that go to maryanns marina , Not rolands , Not scotts, but maryanns marina get some good service , and yes you can not please everyone for sure. All though I do know for a fact that the things that are talked about did happen , peoples boats broken into stripped , motors taken , and all they can say or should I say all ramon could say is to bad. call your insurance . he should know all about that . he was a insurance sales man befor taking over the marina .. but it looks like this post has nothing to do with that . I was called to get onboard with the petition that is getting singed and sent to the coast guard for using im proper guides. That is for sure aginst the law. so far I belive they have several people on this so I am sure it will be looked into. I do not have anything to do with the marina do not care eather way what happens at maryanns place ,But I do know it is going down hill from what is was A few years back. To bad

PWhen the bass fishing is on in the Glades or on the lake the owners call in extra anglers not only to make more money for themselves but to help out anglers in need of money. I do agree that on the lake they should have a captains license as required. But this sounds like a witch hunt. Just my opinion. .........

So because some guides want to do things right . spend the time the money in getting all the proper papaer work and everything they need to be legal . And they want all the others guides to do the same and be legal and do what the LAW requires to do to guide on the lake its a witch hunt. Maybe they are just trying to let everyone know that maryann and ramon are breaking the law and its not fair. But because they provide jobs to guides that are not legal (its ok is that what you are saying)? just asking . so if I come to the glades and keep and kill like 200 bass in a day its ok? because I will be paying a guide that needs money . I really dont think its A witch hunt maybe just some HONEST people want things done right. JMHO Like I said it will be fun to see what happens.

Like I said I agree on the part were they should have a captains license. But maybe someone is upset because they would rather use someone they like without a license than someone they don't that does.

JUST my opinion here!....the license thing, I'm not a big fan of!...It's just a way for the Gov. to make more money!..($900.00 plus) come on!...( the Game commission just provides a course of a few hours to allow you to hunt with a GUN!...NO MONEY!!! ) if you have up to date insurance and provide this Information to the customer, that's all that should be required!....let the free market dictate who's worthy of business!...The Gov. is regulating us out of jobs!..that's a no Brain-er! ...trust me, I've seen some Capts. with all the proper paper work and scare the living CRAP! out of you with their boat knowledge and handling!....word of mouth and time on water is what makes a good Capt!...yes!...don't freak on me! I know there's bad apples everywhere!.... it's just...a piece of paper signed by the gov. allowing you to operate a boat with clients in it doesn't keep a IDIOT from Being an IDIOT!...it just makes it legal?....NO disrespect to the Capts. out there!....you know what I mean!....be an intelligent responder!...it's all about the $$$$$ as far as the paper work goes!....and it sounded like a "WITCH HUNT" to me too!

I do agree with you somewhat A peice of paper dose not make some one a better anything . A better captin , or driver , or roofer , or bricklayer, or crane oparator, or anything .The point is they are breaking the law. So you say its ok in your book fine lets say your driving to the store some one runs into you totals your car out puts your kids in the hospital has no insurance . no license, nothing. Wait that is diffrent right . WRONG laws are laws I dont like them all eather . I belive people are missing the guys point . A guide is a guide, I don't care if he has a Coast Guard Captain's License or not..Put me on fish, share some knowledge, and be professional, that is all I expect.

OK so now I am A maggott, Just so you know ! I did do that... I will not call you names I think its very low class , I spent 1700 dollars on my boat , it was never right went to the service guy ramon he told me in so many words sorry , so I took it elsewhear they fixed it for 90 bucks was a crank trigger . I did not say anything to anyone about this. I just will never go back . I did not post this on the other site and i did not post it hear . But if you want to call me names that is fine maybe some people would like to know if things are not right before they spend there hard earned money . I am sure your so well off it dose not matter to you . Well A very good friend took his boat to rolands anglers what ever the name is... for a leak he spent 250 pluse dollars mind you he is retired and some what disabled .. picked his boat up went to the lake put the boat in parked his truck came back to his boat that was sinking ,, Had some guys help him get it loaded . went stright back to the marina was greated with ,,,,,,,,,, we fixed it we cant help you , sorry , the A%^#@^% manager ramon told him he could not help him he belived his mech ,,, took his boat to jolly rogers the hoses he was charge to replace were rotten old and broken ,, he is seeking legal help with this . 70 year old man way to go guys some day people will get the hint about you and close you down!!!!! this is not hear say its fact ..
