We live in an old house and last year it was re-thatched. This year - today - we have what looks like MILLIONS of flies around the house, especially on the thatch on the side that faces the sun. They are everywhere in the garden too, covering al the leaves and plants. How on earth can I get rid of them? Its like a plague.
Note - they are not in the house yet, just outside.

SORRY to have not replied sooner, it sounds like you have Cluster Fly problem, follow the link for thes on the website for more info, but if they are just outside at the moment dont worry to much.
