New Insights on Bruce's Death: Tom Bleecker's Theory has more creedence

by Mike Bruce Sullivan (no login)

New Insights on Bruce's Death: Tom Bleecker's Theory has more creedence

I spoke to a Vietnamese Catholic person in my neighborhood.

He said the Vietnamese think that Bruce Lee took too many herbs. As a matter of fact, a physician I spoke with said that "everyone thinks herbs are okay since they're natural...but too much can lead to kidney and liver failure."

I'm pretty sure that kidney/adrenal failure led to a cerebral edema which led to his death. But what caused this kidney failure--herbs or anabolic steroids.

I'd say both.

After learning more about Tom Bleecker, Bruce Lee was also Tom's teacher and friend BEFORE he met and fell in love and married Linda Lee. This adds more creedence to
Tom's theory.

He had access to Bruce Lee's files, no one could've gotten so close than he did.

What's amazing is that I've re-read Tom Bleecker's book with greater appreciation and I noticed that Tom claims that Bruce hurt his back during sex and that he was given cortisone which clouded his judgment and that if he really had a back injury--he couldn't have done those flying kicks in the middle of the Indian desert while location-hunting for The Silent Flute.

I've always thought that if Bruce's death wasn't an allergic reaction to strong hashish (an herb), it was due to the 2nd most reliable culprit--anabolic steroids. But now BOTH should be given equal weight. They both worked on his kidneys. In fact what Bleecker doesn't use as a specific example of dark (tanned) skin as the sign of his kidney problems is when Bruce is on the Game of Death set in his yellow jumpsuit--he looks like he's had a sun tan!

So, there you have it--both to some degree caused his death in all likelihood.

Hmm......

by 2 cents (no login)

The imitator Bruce Le had similar build as Bruce...yet he never died of it.

Not to mention others such as Arnold S & Hulk Hogan who both used LARGE amounts of the stuff !

I think Chow deliberately let Lee die cuz he knew Lee was fed up with him & the poor pay , he knew it was only matter of time before he lost him to Hollywood...there's guilt written all over his face.

Pretty convinient that Lazenby was around to be used as alibi for Chow as well huh ?

yes, chow shouldve called ambulnc directly, not've gone to betty's to help during storm...

by mike bruce sullivan (no login)

sorry, i didn't back to u sooner, something was wrong with my internet, thanks for replying. you're right! bleecker even wrote about what u said in his book, yes, chow shouldve called ambulnc directly, not've gone to betty's to help especially during storm/typhoon...also bruce was taken to a hospital that was much farther, he could've been taken to a closer hospital, this was done probably at chow's request to the ambulance drivers.

in bleecker's book, which i recommend u read, chow was giving poor linda lee, a recent widow, a very, very tough time with bruce's estate monies--to the point linda had to fight tooth & nail along with bruce's attorney adrian marshall in order to survive.

bruce was probably taking anabolic steroids in pill form, maybe he didn't like needles like a lot of people. but injecting steroids is easier on liver & kidneys than steroid pills which really are much, much harder on the liver & kidneys. there's a report of a scandanavian young man--i think he may've been from denmark or sweden--this guy was a bodybuilder in his early 20's who died of a lethal cerebral edema because he was using steroids heavily--the report said "he was otherwise in perfect health" (sounds a lot like bruce, right?)

also bruce was ingesting A LOT OF potent hashish, since he didn't like the effect of smoking cannabis. the toxins don't dissipate when u eat cannabis in the form of 2nd hand smoke. arnold smoked weed. and there wasn't any potent hash directly from Nepal in Calif. where arnold lived. maybe bruce was taking dianabol, a steroid which has killed people and was at one time banned, & arnold didn't take dianabol.

i didn't like how betty ting pei said that bruce went to sleep & didn't awake. this adds to a lot of the confusion about bruce's death. he died with the same symptoms on may 10th, so why didn't she say at the start that bruce had violent convulsions/seizures and vomited in her apartment.

b. ting pei claimed to have been remorseful, but why did she make a soft porn after bruce died entitled "bruce lee: i love you"?! why did she act like a gold digger & marry a rich guy and buy the exact same red mercedez benz bruce owned--you know the 1 bruce used for the mob boss to drive around at the end of way of the dragon a/k/a return of the dragon?! (see: bruce lee: fighting spirit by bruce thomas) B. ting pei truly was a Delilah.

together the 2 books: bruce lee: fighting spirit by bruce thomas and unsettled matters by tom bleecker ARE THE BEST BOOKS EXPLAINING BRUCE LEE'S DEATH.

u know what's interesting, 2 cents,? what's interesting about bruce's death is that whatever killed him shows the rest of us, the people influenced and inspired by bruce lee's great life to stay away from the following: 1) adultery (b. ting pei) 2) hashish or other types of cannabis (& i know there'll be people who say--there's nothing wrong with cannabis, it's good to treat asthma and glaucoma--but the people who say this are newbie, young pot smokers) 3) stay away from anabolic steroids 4) choose your business partners & associates wisely!

so since bruce's death wasn't definitively established (i'm not talking about cerebral edema--but WHAT LED TO CEREBRAL EDEMA), this allows us to not do the bad things he did, more flexibility in staying away from the demons that bruce lee danced with temporarily like the above 4 i mentioned.

hope this helps.

Article also shows JKD's faking a move (feigning)

by Mike Bruce Sullivan (no login)

Here's a color article appearing in a West Coast on-line magazine. It was written by me and produced by journalist Jeff Lee who had at one time interviewed Bruce Lee's brother, Robert Lee.

This article also shows JKD's faking a move (feigning).
Inside the little boxes & other interesting facts about Bruce Lee.

This article can be found in http://usasians-articles.tripod.com/artwork.html

Remember when Bruce lee fakes a hit high towards Mr. Han and then goes low at the end of ETD?

Sure you do? Heh! Who doesn't?! That was supposedly the last Bruce Lee martial arts scene on the silver screen (the fight with Han).

This relates to the below basketball post on Kareem.

Faking a move is a lot like basketball fakes, like hand fakes and faking a pass.

In Tao of Jeet Kune Do, Bruce Lee wrote about how useful faking out a move is against a stronger, quicker opponent.

Great Book about Friendship Between Bruce Lee & Kareem Abdul Jabbar-- "Giant Steps"

by Mike Bruce Sullivan (no login)

Great Book about Friendship Between Bruce Lee & Kareem Abdul Jabbar-- "Giant Steps"

This isn't a "sales post". This is free info. for fellow Bruce Lee fans.

I'd highly recommend "Giant Steps" written by former NBA Los Angeles Laker, Kareem Abdul Jabbar (a Legend) in the early 1980's.

There's virtually a whole chapter on Bruce Lee which is touching and also Bruce Lee photos.

Kareem also mentions having seen "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest" a UK-acclaimed film, as well, in 1975 when it first came out.

Specificially, Kareem referred to the American Indian character, Chief, and how he related to him, (living in the beer town of Milwaukee also was mentioned by the religious Kareem while he played for the Milwaukee Bucks before he broke almost every scoring record)

The chief in that movie said his dad "didn't drink out of the bottle, the bottle drunk out of him"

why did Kareem say that? did Kareem experiment with recreational drugs, to fill the void of Bruce Lee.

You'll have to read the book to find out.

Why did I, Mike Bruce Sullivan, or anyone else see Kareem at Bruce's Seattle funeral?

I saw McQueen, Coburn, Jesse Glover, etc...where was Kareem?

Does anyone know the answer to this?

why wouldn't u even include US price? don't u want more of a market share?

by Anonymous (no login)

i live in the u.s.a., too.

it just seems unfair that u don't have a price in US dollars?

Bruce Lee was an American Citizen first and foremost.

so the fact that u neglect to put a US dollar price puts a lot in question.

Just go to a bank & ask them to convert US Dollars to Brit pounds--I want this shirt, too :)

am willing to pay 30 British pounds. Hopefully, there's enough supply of this special awesome shirt to go around!

Don't take it personally. There may be certain laws regulations involving international sales.

Buy the Book Bruce Lee Read for Success

by (no login)

Napoleon Hill's "Think & Grow Rich" is a book Bruce Lee had in his personal, large private library. In fact, making $10 million in 10 yrs as the highest Asian Actor is directly from Napoleon Hill's aforesaid book.

Motivation for free no longer can have a stronger value than paying for motivation. If you pay for it, you will pay more attention to the book and accompanying notes. Also, everyone needs motivation during these dismal economic times.

I have what are called "Cliff Notes" on this aforesaid book.

This is a summary of the aforesaid book's main ideas. I've distilled the main things to remember in order to be successful and in order to find employment or to get a job promotion.

Please mail $50 US Dollars IN THE FORM OF A UNITED STATES POSTAL MONEY ORDER OR AN INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDER (THESE ARE THE ONLY 2 TYPES OF PAYMENTS THAT WILL BE ACCEPTED) for the book and accompanying notes to:

The payee must be my full, legal name: Michael Sullivan. Mike is short or efficient like Jeet Kune Do (it's only one syllable) and Bruce means "strong one" in Irish. That's why I've been known as Mike Bruce Sullivan. Also, I like Bruce Lee's style, I can understand his hot temper and his passion. Like when Bruce Lee, drew the Chinese Character of "The Dragon" next to his signatures, I, too, have self-ordained my middle name "Bruce", to, among other things, better remember the great man!

Part of the income I receive will be donated to The Bruce Lee Foundation in San Vincente, California.

Again, here's the mailing and payee information:

Michael Sullivan

For Californian, German Fans, & All other Bruce fans (something to ponder...) :)

by Mike Bruce Sullivan (no login)

Das ist zehr komisch und interessant... (this is very funny and interesting)

Did you you meditate for almost a week on the similarity between the life of the Inspirational Artist/Teacher (among other titles), Bruce Lee and the life of the Buddha? (You left on a Friday for a better place...etc.?)

That's what Zen Buddhist teachers and Sifus like Yip Man tell their students. Unlike when the doctor says "take 2 and call me in the morning", such deep thinkers tell their students to think (meditate with deep breathing & closed eyes) about this short story or parable and contact me in a week with your thoughts.

What was the result of your meditation? Did you sleep on my prior essay (humbly, I think the best essay on Bruce Lee I've ever written).

Did you wake up in the night as a result of an epiphany or an awakening and write down notes of your own, and/or write in your journal or diary or work on your manuscript or write a poem?

Any comments? Don't be timid. Darn, I would want to read something about that even if I didn't know it was about Bruce Lee.

Bruce read Rene Descarte's philosophy (see BL's Wisdom for Daily Living).

Here's what he said in that book and how RD influenced him: "The only thing that is certain is that I doubt, and if I doubt, then I must be alive" a/k/a "I think, therefore, I am".

Anyway, doubt me, "speak", constant quietude is not healthy. Is this a Confucius thing because Confucius although Bruce Lee said taught him about respecting the various family links, was a traditionalist--who didn't believe in changing the existing order of things.

"It's better not to say one word, and have the world think you're a genius, than to say one word, and to have the world know you're an idiot" --Confucius.

Be gregarious like Bruce Lee and the 14th Dalai Lama exiled in Tibet, but who still is friendly and initiates pleasant conversation ahead. Be like RD and BL and doubt me, post a comment, so that I can also doubt and think and know that I'm alive and that this isn't a dream.

Now you ask, why did I use German in my subject line. Because Bruce Lee was 25% German, you'd have to ask Pheobe and Robert Lee for more details.

But this is the interesting and funny part: Linda Lee was born in Germany. Was her father in the armed forces as so many full blooded American children are born in different countries because their dad was an American soldier stationed there?

***Did and this is the interesting part--who said "I was born in Germany" first? --who said "My grandfather on my mom's side was German" Linda first? Or Bruce first?

They HAD to have mentioned this coincidence during their short marriage.

The funny part is: In Enter the Dragon, the English version, not the Thai dubbed version, there are 2 times when Bruce's 25% German accent comes out either purposely, or by accident.

"...a martial artist MUST ALWAYS ACCEPT THE CONSEQUENCES OF HIS OWN DOING"

"...I GATHER YOU STILL DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TO BUST UP HIS OPERATION?"

Just imagine the above 2 (emphasis added statements) with an Arnold Schwarzenegger or German accent--while or before you watch those ETD segments.

Have a pleasant weekend...I know I'll have one. Allright this time, you can meditate in less than a week and get back to me.... :) MBS
