While not overtly Kultesque, just about all of the characters in Lars von Trier's "The Kingdom" (1995) were realistically weird, and quite enjoyable (especially the coven of doctors). Now, given the Kult milieu, the setting could easily be reinterpreted as a place where the veil has weakened and is slowly opening up into Inferno...
