Well there is no cosmology except for the bits of fiction. Although there is plenty of wasted space where they could have put in some more fiction or maybe even hints at the cosmology.
I still can't get over the side bar art that takes up almost a fifth of the page with more art in the lower corner sticking out that takes up even more... on every page. Plus they have pages with this border and a single quote, all the rest is blank.
I usually don't gripe about books spreading out the info a bit to get some extra pages but this is to the point of lunacy. I mean there is plenty they could have put in there. A hit location chart maybe? I mean they talk about getting hit in a location that is covered by body armor in the combat section. So how do you determine if where you got hit?
An index would have taken another two pages if stretched a little and made all inclusive.
Also noticed no playtesters listed in the credits. This explains a lot in the way of obvious system errors and using the wrong weapon rules on the character sheet.
Hopefully 7th circle can pull its head out of its rectum and pass around the material to a handful of playtesters at least. I mean this is all stuff I picked up on in a couple of hours at most (been working all week so I haven't had time to get in depth).
Oh and in the skill purchasing section they used the same sample that caused problems and much discussion on the listserv that was in the 2nd edition. Talk about not paying attention to what the fans said.
Oh well. After I finish this review I will probably be on thier blacklist for now on. But what can I say, I am disappointed by the lack of effort put into the playability and use of this book. They put a lot into layout and art but that only gets you so far.
