real life is always though. Your story made me sad, 'cause I think we all had experiences of relatives, parents or friends in hospital and there's no explaination for all that suffering and such.
Can we believe in bad luck, only? Frightening.
your ideas made me think about two news I read some days ago in the newspaper. These are facts that happened here in Italy.
1) A surgeon who did surgical operations to almost terminal ill people, lots of useless operations only to raise the money he got for every operations. The doctor is now under trial.
2) Some old nuns who sexually abused the children that were in their school.
