So I'm gearing up to start running a SLA Industries game again. So once again I've started writing down a lot of the differences my SLA world has from the cannon one.
Now here's one idea that I'm writing on. Hopefully I should get the write up completely done and up on my site by this weekend. Right now this is a rough, write it down draft.
Equiped with Science Friction gear, from modified Blocker to specialized weapons. Everything works on a Flux storage system. So after a set amount of uses the equipment has to be returned to a Shiver Station so it can be shipped uptown to be recharged. At this time replacement equipment will be issued to the Shiver.
“You think you have paperwork, I have to account for every bit of Flux I burn out of these things. Not to mention all of the regular forms for use of force.” – Dark Lament Shiver
Blocker – Dark Purple in color. The body of the armor can be increased for a limited time. It is a mesh of regular armor plating with Science Friction material weaved through. While not built nearly to the extent of a Death Suit it does share a few similarities. However it won’t keep the rain off. (Protect Rank 1 – 5 uses, Protect Rank 3 – 5 uses) There are going to be a few other affects built in but I haven't got my head wrapped around them yet.
Weapons – Two common weapons so far. First is a rifle with a spindle of ‘shells’ going through it. Each shell can fire a low level Blast, then the lever action is worked in a new shell is put in place, this would be specialized and limited to a 'proven' Shiver. Second and more common is a revolver, six shots with a lever action on the handle also (Blast Rank 3).
Other gear for detect, illumination, etc.
Using this gear are Ebons and Brain Wasters who could not achieve the requirements for Meny or were unable to complete the classes. This gives them a second chance to give back to the World of Progress and attempt to work their way toward the White.
After several years of service they are told they will be used for specialized security within the Dark Lament Tower and other facilities. Plus at that time they will receive a newly designed Death Suit so they can achieve their evolution. Seeing as the program hasn’t been around for very long at all none have gained this promotion.
