I run a BBC that runs 10.0's on gasoline and the motor rev's around 6800. Now I am using Valvoline VR1 but dont know if this is the best oil for my setup. What kind of oil are people using running a simular setup?

Talk to Ken Campbell at the track. He is usually up by the bleachers and is a Amsoil Dealer. He supports the track and is there every week and has a great product.
I also am running a BBC probably similar to yours . I run 10.0's also ( 10.07 @ 133 mph to be exact) and i shift a 6,800 and my finnish line rpm is 6,900 rpms. I switched to Brad Penn oil 2 seasons ago and i couldn't be happier with it ...... So i give another vote to Brad Penn !!!!
