I thought there was going to be a open comp class somewhere this year did anyone here anything. My buddy said he talked to chris baxter at autoramma and he said it was going to be on friday night heads up if anyone heard something please let me know.

At the open house chris said open comp would be held on heads up nights. 48 car field qualified by best reaction time. I didn't hear anything about payouts and such but I'm guessing the E T breaks will be the same as race wars. This is just what I heard at the open house. There may be some changes when they decide to post all the info, but that all sounds great to me. Hope this helps.

OK Open Comp. on Friday Heads Up nights with a 48 Car Field qualified by best reaction times. How are the actual elimination race's run in Open Comp and do they differ than the other Heads Up Class's? I'm confused as normal.

Open comp is not a heads up class. You make 2 passes to qualify. Your index will be .10 faster than your fastest run during qualifying. Example= you run 11.15 and 11.13 in qualifing your index for the race would then be 11.03. The race is run on a .500 pro tree, but still a stagered start. Its bracket racing on a .500 pro tree with a fixed index.
