Hi guys. I raced a low 10 second car several years ago and am stepping up to an 8.30-40 second car to run in the heads up series. I do not have an IHRA or NHRA license (and never have) and am looking for some advice. I know that I have to be an IHRA member, fill out the forms, get a physical, and do demo runs. What I am not sure of is what order everything gets done, i.e. is the physical required prior to the demo runs, and is one doctor typically able to take care of everything on the physical form, or do you have to go to several doctors? Also, I know that I need to be observed by already licensed drivers. Are there folks that volunteer their time at Milan to do this (I haven't raced in a number of years), or do I have to arrange for licensed observers myself? Lastly, the car that I have has an expired certification and I have never had to get a chassis certification before. How/where is the best place to get my chassis recertified? Thanks.
