With opening day right around the corner (April 4th), and our new relationship with NHRA it has stirred up a lot of questions. Racers, we are working with NHRA to help get you to their standards. We know this is not going to happen overnight, and we are in the process of putting plans together with NHRA to make it an easier transition.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Each series and class may be affected some so we are going to work on them individually. We are working very hard to get all of this information together and will be releasing it ASAP. Please continue to check our website for the updated information.

Thanks in advance!

NHRA Competition License

March 25 2009, 7:18 PM

NHRA INFO.

Competitors with a dial-in of 9.99 or quicker (4.50 to 6.39 for eight-mile) or 135 MPH or faster (excludes motorcycles) are required to have a valid NHRA Competition License and NHRA Membership. Categories requiring an NHRA Competition License are as follows but not limited to NHRA Professional categories, Top Alcohol categories, Competition Eliminator, Advanced E.T., Super Comp, Super Gas, certain Super Stock classes as defined by current NHRA rules, Super Street, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Snowmobile, ATV, certain Nostalgia TF, Special Fuel E.T. cars and Motorcycles.

You need to apply for a NHRA Membership as soon as possible. It takes some time according to the information on thier site. Competition Numbers take a couple of weeks for NON-Competition Licensed drivers, like most of us.

All the Info is at NHRA.com under the Competition Tab.

Pete

NHRA

Well I see it's happened again. Back to nhra. I'm sure some will like it. I got tired of them only wanting money,not caring anything about the real racers in the world. You have a license to go 7.50 but you CAN'T go 9.90 with out an other license. I really love when you have a problem with them and they say geeeeeeeeeeee thats too bad. Which they did to me. I had eye surgery a few years ago, and they told me they wouldnt take it off my license, untill I went to a different doctor, than mine, which I didnt, The state of michigan said ok thats great. NOT nhra. Like I care what they think or say. I'll slow the car down and then I dont need them at all. I'm not blaming Milan Dragway, they have always been a great group to be with. Everyone there is great people. I don't think you will ever find better racers than the ones at Milan. But I guess it's time to sell the car, because I really dont want anything to do with nhra anymore. I used to be proud to be an nhra member. Untill they got where they only want the money. If you run into phylis there she's the one that was very rude to me and others that I have talked to. She's probably not there anymore, (I HOPE). My car will be in the want add's there as soon as I make an add for it. Good luck to all I have had a blast over the years racing with all my friends there. I really hate for it to end. But I'm not going nhra. Way too many payoff's, to make me buy what ever it is they want to sell me BEFORE they let me race. Best wishes to all the MILAN racers and their familys, and thanks for all the fantastic times I have had there. Frank Hickman and the SHOTGUN Camaro

NHRA requires a License and a physical at 9.99 and 135 mph, also a chassis cert, and a full face helmet M 2005 or newer. I know because renewed mine. Chris if you need anyone to be at the track to signoff on new license, I will be glad to help out. Eric.
