| I have a merlin 2 block, should oil restrictors be used. I have a moroso billet pump and 7qt moroso pan. 540ci and 840hp.

Even though it is a priority main oiling, if you are using it mainly for drag racing most big engine builders are suggesting .080 oil restrictors. As far as a cam shaft, you might want to call a major engine builder like Shafiroff or hardcore engines, they'll give an answer with a lot of experience behind it. Paul
