Response to Altimeter

Every wrist watch with temp will have a reading while on your wrist that is warmer than the actual temperature. For the Suunto Vector, I learned the difference was typically 7-9 degrees, so I just did the math. While in a tent I usually take off the watch and hang it from the gear loft for accurate chilly morning readings. I can't speak for High Gear, but I've observed that at least 8 out of 10 mountaineers on serious mountains have a Suunto model watch, so I'm thinking that instrumentation is the most accurate available.
