I used to get a lot more into tracking my trips, but I have not done it in a few years (maybe one of the reasons is that I've just not done as much hiking/climbing of late). It was kind of fun to see a log of the trip. I still think I have the log of both my Grand Teton and Mount Whitney trips (and their associated high points) on the watch. It does remember that data across a battery change, which is nice. When I was using it, I would start the log at the beginning and end it when we were done, so that it would span the whole trip. Now, I am more likely just to review the hourly elevations after a trip, which is usually good enough for me...
