Red Mountain has an old mine road the pretty much goes right to the top. However, it is gated off quite a ways back up the road, so you will have to walk it. Definately doable as a day trip. Likely quite a few motorbikes later in the year when the snow recedes, since this road and the West Fork of Yankee Fork trail is open to motorized vehicles.
