Well, I also can't speak for current conditions, but myself and a few friends climbed Leatherman last year from the East. The last few miles of road are exciting, for sure. I drove my Tundra and a friend drove his Forester all the way to the trailhead. At the trailhead there were numerous trucks/SUVs...and then the Forester. He drove that thing up there like a madman and as far as I have heard had no problems, although it's likely that he scrapped his belly a few times. So yes, it's doable all the way, but it is pretty rough. Depends on how much you love your car, I guess. |
