Thanks for the info. I'll be up there in a couple of weeks for a first hand look. I'm obligated to get my daughter on the summit (via CO Ridge) and then I might get a shot at the NF face again. If the morraine is still covered with snow down to the biv site then there's a potential 1900' vert drop on the eastern side of the cirque that I don't believe has ever been done on skis. It's a clean looking line that probably doesn't exceed 40 degrees at the top and the backdrop of the north face would make for some great pictures. I figured Luddite would be all over this one but it sounds like he's put his skis away for the season. Heck, I'd join him on a trip if he'd carry my skis, boots and all of the climbing gear (both ways).
The NF will lose a little bit of direct sun every day now until Dec 21, and when the shadow stays on north face all day it will harden up regardless of the daily high temp.
