Spent the 4/20 weekend at Hell's clipping Satan's bolts and praying to the Goat. A couple friends from WA put on the weekend as close to 4/20 as possible. A great gathering to meet some of the developers of the area. Temps were getting high. In the morning is was cool, but humid then the chase for shade in the afternoon. If you climb, and haven't been to Hell's, you should go. Even if you just hike, it's very beautiful.
The climbing is world class. There is everything here. STEEP, vertical, slabs, multi-pitch, and free camping!
Some of the slabs make my brain hum.
Sleeping Monster wall. Can you see the sleeping Monster?
In addition to the Poison Ivy, (You may never see more than you will here!) there are other objective hazards;
So bring 20 gallons of water (dry campground), a 60M rope, 20 draws, and bug stuff. You will not be disappointed! Hope everybody else got high on this 4/20 weekend (hee hee)!!!
