I hate it when anonymous pricks derail interesting conversation. Many of us know the entire world doesn't view americans as spoiled brats. Maybe you see Americans that way and see yourself as the entire world... ergo, making your claim not only myopic but selfish too.
Back to the subject at hand. I think this is not only angering but sad. All lot of these containers hold historic information that, if lost from those canisters, may never be regained.
I think this activity it too widespread to be deemed as random. Perhaps there's some sort of group (maybe the anonymous prick is part of their group) that believe summit registers are too atrocious and offensive to exist.... Odd, considering most registers I've come across are sweet and sentimental and don't claim some indignant victory over mother nature.
Maybe we start attaching a huge 20lb weight to each register to deter these people from continuing onward?
