Hi ALL:

Some changes to note to the Doug's Excellent Adventure Climb after a 10 years break.
In the past I had been doing a yearly climb, after a 10 yr break I decided to bring it back and invite people from this forum as well. Here are the details.

Getting There Sat., Aug. 25th @ 8 AM.

Johnstone Peak's summit is 7 miles east of Ketchum Idaho. Depending on the route you take to the summit, your access point will be different.

From the North - Pioneer Cabin Trail: Travel northeast from downtown Ketchum on trail creek road for 4 miles. Turn right on Corral Creek Road and drive 4 more miles until you reach a trailhead. [Note Trail creek Road is not cleared during winter]

I climbed Black Dome last week (another option for the climb), I decided to change the mountain due to the remotness of that mountain. The new peak is closer to Sun Valley and has 2 climb choices, Johnstone Peak or Pioneer cabin, both great choices.

You can stay in SV and get to the trailhead in less than 30 minutes with a 2 wheel drive.

Pass this along to others who may want to come along or I do not have there email address,
Climb on,
Doug
