Big Lost: There are several tramways in Horseshoe Canyon and I have explored (climbed) to the top of 2 of them. Fascinating area for mining history.
I don't remember seeing an rusting old Volvo up there. Most everything at the head of Horseshoe Canyon is full of bullet holes. I talked to a friend of a friend, who explained that a firearms collector from the Salmon area liked to shoot his machine guns up there. That would also explain the solid-steel 30 Cal. slugs that I occasionally found high above the end of the road.
