I have not been there yet this year, but I hit these lakes pretty much every year. Walker and Island will be ice free. The fishing here is great, but the fish are small. The chain lakes will be iffy. I was in there two years ago this week (a year pretty simmilar to this one) and Sapphire was just opening up around the inlet. You could probably get some fishing in at Cove Lake, but getting a line in the water at Sapphire and Cirque may be hit or miss.
Hopefully someone has been up and will let you know. I will likely be making the trip next weekend as a day hike. |
