....the true summit of King Mountain. This peak is incorrectly labeled on the USGS Quad Map. My friend RickB calls this one "The King's Crown". Wes, it looks like there was a good bit of snow up high. Did you spot the circular shaped watering troughs on the way to the true summit? I tripped over one several years ago during a winter ascent. How was the crux pitch just below the central summit?
