John R found this debris on the way up:
Looked like a piece of suede leather (from a boot?) and thin piece of metal.
We ridge walked in from the east until it got a little too knifey on top less than 1/2 a mile from the summit. We dropped off and came back up through a black chute. As we were circling around above the chute to regain the ridge is when he found it - which was east of, and an estimated 100' vertical below them blasted bighorns.
When I read (the spelling of) your "Alcyone" entry and started digging, I realized that the rest of us have been misspelling it as "Alcyon". Surely you had intended to name it after the daughter of Aeolus (Alcyone) and not a French bicycle, automobile and motorcycle manufacturer between 1890 and 1957 (Alcyon).
