HI,
I'm just wondering if anyone has hiked into the East Fork of Moose Creek (upper selway area) via Elk Summit/Hoodoo Lake area around Powell. If so how was the trail?
Thanks for any help.

You'll want to talk to this guy. He knows a lot about that country.

This guy did an impressive amount of work on northern Idaho ranges. Great write-ups, photos and beta.

Yea, he always does great work on his submissions. As you can tell he does mostly stuff in N. Idaho but recently he did some nice pages for Targhee Peak and others in the Centennial Mountains of E. Idaho. As of now he's Idaho's top contrubutor on SP.

Ya,his information is better than most guide books I have read. I've been trying to pm him, but for some reason I can't. Hopefully he sees this and responds back.

You can email him directly from SP if you want to try that.

There is no limit to . . . .

There is no limit to the photos and space for write-ups you can put on the internet in SummitPost or on a web site. There is a lot of free information and much of it is very good. Guidebook authors are constrained by the cost of publishing a book (which few buy anymore) and thus,it is likely that guidebooks will follow the Dodo Bird into extinction. It was fun while it lasted. Power to the people!

I suppose you're speaking from experience.. ;)Your book is still my #1 trusted source for info in Idaho. I go to it first every time and I just supplement it with SP and Idahosummits etc....

Even with the advent of too much information (internet) I still resort to the old stand by's of maps and books and your book is definately getting worn out!
