Has anyone been on the Grand lately? I'm told it snowed 8 inches 2 weekends ago and 6 inches over the last 2 days. I am scheduled to climb this Friday and am axious to determine current climbing conditions.

Yes, it has been snowing up high, and it is still a bit cool for this time of year. There was a slight dusting as low as 10,000ft over the last couple of days, but most of that has melted.

Freezing temps as low as 6000ft over the last couple of nights. It was down to 39 at my place this morning.....brrrrr.

Be prepared for cool conditions...looks like summer is on the way out! Yay!

Check out this sitehttp://www.tetonclimbingroutes.blogspot.com/ Yes the lower saddle got snow the 8th . I was up there that week but was out of there before it snowed. During the week it was unusually warm at night. Upper exum drys out really fast so that would be my choice. Craig

Some friends did the lower Exum on Friday. It was dry, but very cold and windy.

If we don't get anymore snow, Exum ridge should be bone dry by then. The trouble might be on the Owen-Spaulding descent. Parts of that could be pretty icy.

Call the Jenny Lake climbing rangers on Thursday. They will know what the situation is.

Good Luck. I'm doing CMC on Moran this weekend.
