I'm sorry to hear about your situation and think I have a pretty good sense of what you might be feeling. I'm a little younger (just turned 38), but had a miscarriage 1 yr. ago with my first pregnancy and after struggling unsuccesfully to get pregnant again, finally went to an RE and to my shock, learned about my borderline/high FSH. This news particularly took me aback because my OB/GYN had assured me that all my fertilty tests had turned out "normal"; my RE feels that they're anything but normal and that my situation requires aggressive action.
I live in the Boston area too (Somerville) and would be happy to connect with you to tell you about the steps I'm taking (accupuncture, herbs, 2nd opinion, etc.) and what I've learned from my number of friends who had difficulty conceiving, if you would find it helpful; please feel free to e-mail me if that's the case. I know my circumstances are a little different, so if you prefer to find someone in a situation exactly like yours, I completely understand.
