My wife spoke to her OBGYN yesterday and, rather matter-of-factly, told her she would have difficulty conceiving on her own without fertility treatments. Her Day 3 FSH level was 9.4. He also said her progesterone level was low. We both became very upset. We had read a FSH level below 10 was considered acceptable, but then read that results vary by lab. We have an appointment with a specialist next week but, in the meantime, are losing sleep over his prognosis. Any help?
