yep when vinie was first dx they banded his varices That was about 3 yrs ago they banding was inhis esphagus) now his stomach is another issue. From his liver not working everthing backs up into the liver which in turnbacks up (portal hypertension) and cause varices in his stomach which now ooze blood all the time. He has to go and have his stomach burned or frozen and this slows down the oozing Thank God. Vinnies dr is dr John portarcho (spelling) he is very good and vinnie trust him immensly/ well bed time!
