Found a great book about Scotland's James VI, son of Mary Queen of Scots, who became James I of England after Elizabeth I. He had the Bible translated into English and it is today's King James' Version.
Non-fiction, 'Majestie' by David Teems, cr 2010, reads easily with modern language text as well as the cited documents in the original old English translated and comment by the author that is both insightful to the times and strained and often dangerous relationships, but often humorous. Full of all the best of king James' contemporary, William Shakespear's literary voices, 'Majestie' is full of conspiracy, witches, murder... Check it out! ISBN 978-1-59555-220-4
