David MacKay VC (1831-1880) was my great grandfather's older brother. David won his Victoria Cross for gallantry at the relief of Lucknow during the India Mutiny in 1857.
Recently while searching for information about David's family I came across a recording on YouTube about Sgt David MacKay, VC. If you have not already heard the song I hope you are as moved as I was and enjoy finding it as much as I did.
