Man, that is way cool. I wish I could go! I've never been to Atlantic City and P&T would be a great excuse to haul my ass out there. Alas, I will HOPEFULLY be starting a new job in May and probably shouldn't do anything dumb like buy plane tickets when I don't know if I'll ever be able to get time off. :'(
Have fun, everybody who goes! I am jealous of you. (I say this even though I will be seeing the show at the Rio tomorrow night...ugh, I am such a fan-nerd.)

Will do!
Taking my husband to see the show for the first time ever. He's not as big a fan as I am, but he's still really looking forward to it. We were going to head down to Vegas today but he got food poisoning so we're waiting until tomorrow morning.
I owe my husband some mild revenge, though. I wonder if Teller will agree to plant a fat kiss on my cheek right when the hubby snaps a picture?
Probably not. That would be the PERFECT vengeance. :'(
I saw P&T in AC twice, years ago. If other people on this board think they're huge fan-nerds...well...me too. A long, long time ago, I even roped my mother into recreating Penn & Teller's drain-cleaner-on-a-piece-of-chicken scene from Get Killed, on the beach in AC.
I am really frustrated! I was online ready to buy tickets to the show with the presale code in hand. I was going to surprise my son who is obsessed with magic. I wanted to get best tickets available. When I went on to buy them at 10 AM exactly the best seats available were listed as "obstructed view". What is wrong with this picture? I have spent more than one hour trying to track down the answer to my questions. In this economy can I afford to buy tickets and spend the money to travel to Atlantic City, spend the night and get obstructed view tickets. So I was wondering why the center tickets are not there. I was told by ticketmaster that those seats could be held and not offered in the pre sale. But the other thought was maybe ticketmaster is going to offer them on a premium site at a premium price later on. Then the concierge at the hotel said they sometimes hold tickets for special customers and if they are not taken they could go on sale later. So, what do I do? I don't want to risk spending all that money and then finding an obstructed view seat! Any suggestions?

To say I'm disappointed with the pre-sales setup for Atlantic City doesn't begin to express it.
When the time came, I was sitting right there, all set with all my stuff at hand because ticketmaster is one of those 'complete the transaction in a crazy-small amount of time or start over' sites. At the stroke of ten I was in. It didn't matter.
The only seats ticketmaster would offer up were junk seats described as 'OBSTRUCTED VIEW'. I kept trying, working at it for about an hour, and all it would offer up was the same junk. "Okay, okay" you're probably thinking, "where are these awful seats he's railing on about?" Fair enough. I wanted three for May 23rd. I was offered EE 106-104 or DD 501-503. Need a map? My pleasure:

I kept at it throughout the day when the urge struck me but the results were always the same. Apparently NOBODY wants those seats! As I type this note my wife's trying it, too. Same thing. If we try a single ticket, or two, it comes back in the same range.
Now here's the kicker. Google the show/date/venue and you'll find seats being scalped for about three times face value. And they're supposedly only in pre-sales at this point. Hmmm.
Y'know, it's too bad we're going to miss this show. It's kind of funny, actually. See, we're going to be in Vegas in a couple of months and figured it'd be cool to see P&T while we were there. Well wouldn't you know, they're on the road when we'll be in town. But they're coming to Jersey - and we're here already! So we figured we'd head down to AC for the weekend and catch the May show. And wow, the ticket pre-sales are about to begin - what luck!
I guess not.
No, this VIP doesn't have a login on this forum. And this message needs moderator approval before it'll appear. What're the odds? Oh well, thanks for letting me vent.
That was pretty annoying to log on to ticketmaster and find that they were only offering obstructed seating. I also like the "here's some subpar expensive seats, we need your answer RIGHT NOW or we offer them to
someone else!!"
After a few minutes of changing the search parameters, I finally found some in the lower level EE #200's range. It just takes a bit to make them come up with the good seats. Ticketmaster is just GRAND, isn't it.
But who cares, going to see the guys! I am STOKED!
Correlation, What night are you going? I am happy for you that you were able to get tickets. I hope I was persistent enough. I mean I tried so many times on Tuesday morning, afternoon. Again on Wednesday through the evening and was always getting the same seats (Lower 1 obstructed view) no matter what I put in as parameters. Now I see the pre sale for Penn and Teller is over and its opening at 10 to some other pre sale. Hope I can get in to ticketmaster with PTAC code and won't now have to wait for regular tickets. I know how wonderful this show will be and how my son will feel when he gets to go, which is the reason for all this effort. Just wonder why it has to be like this. Why so difficult and convoluted? Not trying to get something for nothing, after all. Who IS getting these seats? Just need 2...Cannot believe that nobody is owning up to having any responsibility for this!!!
It offered me EE, seat 204 on the 22nd and row C, seat 705 on the 23rd. Decent enough I think; perhaps try one more time? I didn't remember to check the site until quarter past eleven.

So if there is someone out there in charge of this web page and/or who can interact with Penn and Teller maybe they can shed some light on this! I am trying again today to find tickets to Penn and Teller in Atlantic City on Sat 5/23. So still the same obstructed view tickets are the best seats available. I understand that people have to make a living but why would Penn and Teller allow the tickets to be sold to ticket outlets but not to their fans, and then the tickets are on those other sites at a huge markup? I found seats in lower 2 (which is not center but still closer to the center than lower 1/obstructed view, which is all I could find available even though I have been trying since 10 AM 3/10). So how did the outlet get tickets so that they can try to sell them for $100 extra per ticket? It gets me so angry! I am trying to get tickets for my son who is a high school student who struggles with significant learning disabilities and works very hard all the time, and his only real outlet is magic. So I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to give him some real pleasure! And to be in the theater with obstructed view is not feasible.
Please can someone who is affiliated with Penn and Teller explain how this can happen! It makes us "little people" feel so insignificant.

Hi All,
I'm sorry you are having difficulties.
I checked it out with the home office and unfortunately they have absolutely no control over the ticket sales. So, what goes up for pre-sale is totally up to Harrah's.
I mentioned the obstructed seats, and was told that there really aren't any bad seats in that venue. Maybe you can call the theater directly and ask exactly what " obstructed view " means. Maybe it isn't bad at all.
