Psychics

I really like that Penn & Teller go out of their way to say all Psychics are fake on their TV show and in their Live Act. Psychics are some thieving bastards. The only time I actually thought I saw some real ones was on that
America's Psychic Challenge show on Lifetime. Anyone else see that show? Was that reality show all fake or are their a couple people in the world that actually are Psychic

Of course nobody is really psychic. Even reality shows are heavily edited to be more entertaining. I'm sure there were plenty of "misses" by the contestants on the show, but they were edited to look like hits. You've seen the Bullshit episode about psychics, right? It's the first show of the first season. They show some TV-psychic editing tricks in that one.

The show did show lots of misses, but it also showed them in situations where they knew things that would be impossible to guess or cheat on. You should watch the reruns online. They either where Psychic or the show was a total fraud. I probably lean towards the fraud.

I absolutely lean toward the fraud. Any smart producer would edit in some content that would only make the "hits" look all the more real.

In thousands of years, nobody has ever been shown to have actual psychic powers. Suddenly a reality TV show brings all the "real" psychics out of the woodwork? That stretches credulity.

Dude,
It's all bullshit. It's all fake. Some of the fakers are just better at making it seem real.
If there were real psychics, they would be filthy rich from winning the lottery and they would have stopped the attacks of Sept. 11th, 2001 from happening. Any psychic who claims to be psychic has to answer for this.

Cheers,
Paul

Psychic, psycho... all the same to me

April 15 2009, 5:56 PM

I love psychics. They are hilarious. I've had run-ins with a couple of them that were so far off the mark I don't think they even got a good look at me when I strolled up. And how much pre-cognition or telepathy or whatever does it take to "see" that someone wearing a uniform from a Creative Arts High School is interested in the arts. That's like seeing someone in a SubWay uniform and having the spirits tell you that they deal with a lot of people... and baloney.

For the record, I'm a psychic too. Tell me if I'm on the mark with this prediction for this coming week: You will meet a man some time in the near future. He will have dark hair, two eyes and a mouth. He will be taller than a small woman and shorter than a very tall man and have between 8 and 12 fingers. He will greet you and tell you something you did not know before. At some point afterwards, you will go somewhere and eat a hot meal. If I'm right, you must admit that I am a true psychic. If I'm wrong, I owe you a cookie.
