A question for Penn

Hey Audrey,

I was listening to some old Penn Radio shows and on one episode Penn was talking about how he and EZ agree on just about everything . . perhaps with the exception of the music of Stephen Sondheim.

(I'm nearly positive I heard that correctly.)

As an fan of Sondheim's music myself (ever since that fateful night when I turned on PBS and caught Into The Woods on TV I fell in love with his stuff then and there) - I was curious - who's the fan? Penn or Emily? happy.gif

Hey Kim,

I could have sworn it was just EZ but I asked him and he said:

"Yup, EZ likes Sondheim's shows in general. I like Sondheim himself (I've been out with him a couple times) and I LOVE "Assassins" but, I don't like musicals as a rule."

Sincerely,
Audrey

I'm guessing that it's safe to assume that Penn's dislike of musicals makes an exception for the collected works of Parker and Stone. Has Penn seen "Cannibal: The Musical!", and did he nearly cry from laughing to hard like I did?

Cheers,
Paul

Thanks Penn (and Audrey)

I can definitely see why Penn would like Assassins happy.gif - I did the costumes for a small production of it up in Westchester County quite a few years back. Great show.

Awww - he's not a fan of musicals, though? Dare I ask further why?

I have a friend who is not fond of them only because he can't get over the fact that in the reality of musical theatre, it is just normal that folks will break out into a song and dance number at the dinner table - happy.gif

They even did a Dylan one - didn't last long though.
