I want to take up mentalism as a hobby. Can anyone recommend some good books on the subject.

I'm not a professional but of the few tricks I do perform for friends they are mostly mentalism tricks that I learnt from:

13 Steps to Mentalism - Corrinda
Mind Myth and Magick - T.A Waters

Also have a read of Derren Brown's book, tricks of the mind, it doesn't specifically have any tricks in it (actually it has a couple) but some cool stuff about his style of mentalism.
