Much like the Drug War episode, the one about prostitution could never be long enough. We keep getting more gems like this:

Prostitution is dangerous, and to prove it, the state of Arizona will lock you in a chicken cage in the desert until you die.

Psychopath behavior, funded by your tax dollars. This shit would have fit well in the movie "Se7en". It would have been more humane to dump her cage under water, at least that would be over faster.

No mention of the prison warden resigning over this (or better yet, committing suicide). Maybe he is sitting behind a desk, shrugging his shoulders and saying "oops, these things happen!"

I can even think of the words to describe how stupid that was. How does this happen?

its just jackasses who aren't attractive enough for other people so they make theses claims sex is wrong and immoral. sigh only if there parents were taught that then they would maybe not exists.

Is this the same Arizona Prison system that makes Gitmo look well ran and the same one the War on Drugs BS episode?

I'll confess that I've been a lurker here for some time and often find myself visiting the board to see what the (mostly) intelligent folks around here have to say about what's going on in the world. But this post finally moved me to move out of lurker-only status and post.

I recently made the decision to become what some would consider to be a call girl because it was pretty much that or become homeless, as the three jobs I've been working still aren't enough to cover rent and expenses with the economy the way it is (and all of the living-wage jobs being very difficult to compete for right now - believe me, I've tried).

It's definitely not a fantasy job for me, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. I have several regular clients, including an attorney (could come in handy!), an engineer, a politician, a radio announcer, a repairman, and a software programmer. (Sounds like the makings of a great joke!)

Most of these men are married, though some are single and just too busy to fool with relationships and want uncomplicated sex. Some don't even want sex and just want to sit in the hot tub with a naked woman and talk. (Seriously!)

Anyway, it seems ridiculous to me that consenting adults practicing safe sex (if any sex at all is had) and sharing a mutually beneficial experience can be turned into yet another reason to feed the monster that is our prison system. And I think it's pathetic that the same system takes one of the parties to that mutually beneficial experience and ends up killing her because they are too irresponsible to do their jobs.

Given the fact that anyone who drives a car and violates a traffic law is a criminal in every sense of the word, we should all be concerned when things like this happen. I truly believe that anyone can find themselves in jail/prison (especially since I'm in a profession where I am subject to arrest simply for earning a living with my body, which I presumably own).

I haven't seen the BS episode on prostitution, but I'll definitely check it out!
