Please don't compare the vatican to a bank.

My bank keeps my money safe, pays me a small interest rate for it, lets me take my money back when I need it, and even lets me borrow large amounts of their money for a reasonable market rate.

My bank has never raped my orifices or made me get up early on sundays. Also, historical records show extremely few cases of people with telescopes being assaulted by banks.
