Well, I'm not exactly sure where to put this, but this seems as good a place as any.

I just want to say that Penn and Teller are one of the greatest acts in existence. You're great showmen and I've seen you several times. It's always a real pleasure. It's one of the few things I can spend money on and say, "hey, this was worth every dime!" Further, while I rarely agree with you (Penn) on alot of issues, I still look up to you and if someone demanded that I tell them a person I could identify most with, it would be you. My reasons are simple enough. You're fair, level-headed, but most importantly, you're yourself. So many people have a hard time with that. They struggle to be their own person. You tell the truth, you don't beat around the bush, and you're most always clear and concise.

I just watched the Oct 15th Penn Says (Getting Yelled At by One of My Heroes). For what it's worth I think it would behoove many people whose voices are louder than others - owing simply to their status as entertainers - to have the balls that you do. Even though you know your opinion differs from those of some people, you still confront them. It's a crying shame more people can't open their minds that way. I won't get into the issues I disagree with you on (because that's not the point here) so let me just say they're many. But I respect you and your opinion, just as I would anyone else. And I respect you for following your own compass and thinking for yourself. It's an inspiration.

So I want to say thank you. Thank you for showing the world that it's okay to be you.

There's never a need to follow anyone else's lead.

I look forward to many, many more episodes of Penn Says and more excellent entertainment from yourself and Teller. You guys are the best. I can't imagine a world without both Penn or Teller and the unique ways in which you make us engage our minds.

Hi Matt,

I forwarded your message to Penn and he said:

"Thanks so much for the kind words."

Sincerely,
Audrey
