As the Dark Angel listened, a glimmer of worriment and regret shifted through her blood-red eyes. In a flash, it was pushed away, and the stelly glint returned. Celaeno did not want to think of the torture she was soon going to put her old best friend through...The times they shared...And when Naomh had been there for her...The merry voice of the fox riding upon a dog still echoed in her head: "We should reach the castle well before day!".
A flashback came as Celaeno only half-listened to what Katrina had to say. There she was, walking along a path in a misty forest. She was with a group that consisted of that little fox and his dog, a giant, friendly beast, Naomh, herself and a dwarf. "Well, come on! We should reach the castle well before day!..."
Celaeno blinked. She could not think of such things when greater things needed to be done. "It...It sits with me well, Katrina," she replied softly in a hard, gruff voice. "I shall try to find the white pegasus now, then...I think I have a plan as to how I'm going to do it..."
And without another word, Celaeno slunk away, a lump in her throat.
