He steps out of the shadows beside the road. His dusty robes swish softly in the night as his steps take him closer to the great house. The face beneath the hood of the garment is in shadows as a hand, still covered, reaches up and knocks once, twice, three times upon the door. Head bowed, he waits to be allowed to enter.
